08 /Policy · Code of Work
A studio is only as good as what it commits to in plain language. Read this before you brief us — and hold us to it if you hire us.
01 /Ownership of what we ship
Every deliverable we produce in an engagement — code, design files, brand assets, content, prompts, data models — transfers to you in full from the moment of final payment.
No hidden licensing. No "we keep the source." No royalty on revenue your site generates. You bought it, you own it.
We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio unless your engagement is governed by an NDA — in which case the work stays private, with no exceptions and no time limit.
02 /Communication, in plain numbers
First reply to any inbound brief: within one business day, by the channel you chose (email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp).
During an active engagement: we share a preview deploy every Friday. You can click through real working software — not a status email, not a slide deck.
Response time during weekdays: typically within four working hours. We work Sunday–Thursday, Israel time, and let you know in advance about holidays.
Every meaningful decision is captured in writing — usually as a short note in your project document the same day. If a decision is not in writing, it has not been made.
03 /Pricing, scope, and change
Every engagement begins with a written proposal that lists scope, milestones, timeline, payment schedule, and — explicitly — what is out of scope. You hold a copy whether or not you proceed.
Pricing is fixed once we both sign. If we underestimate the work, that is on us. We absorb the overrun, not you.
If you ask for something mid-project that is outside the agreed scope, we re-scope and re-price it in writing before doing the work. You decide whether to proceed.
04 /Payment, milestones, refunds
Project work is typically split into milestones — most commonly 40% at kickoff, 40% at midpoint, 20% at launch. Monthly tiers (Starter, Partner) are billed month-to-month, with no large upfront commitment.
You can pause a monthly retainer at any time after month three with two weeks notice. We will not chase you. We do not run a "cancel-by-mail" maze.
If you cancel a project engagement before kickoff, your deposit is refunded in full minus the proven hours we have already spent. If you cancel during the engagement, you pay for the work completed and own the work we have shipped to date.
05 /What we will not do
We will not start work without a signed proposal. Verbal "go-ahead" is friendly, not contractual — for both our sakes.
We will not ship work we do not believe in. If midway through we think the project is going wrong, we will say so before you spend another shekel.
We will not publish results, screenshots, quotes, metrics, or your company name in our case studies without your written permission.
We will not pretend to be a bigger team than we are. Mahdius is a small studio. The people you brief are the people who do the work.
06 /Confidentiality
We sign your NDA before discovery if you ask. If you do not have one, we offer ours.
Anything shared with us — strategic plans, customer lists, code, financials, internal documents — stays inside the studio. Nothing is shared with third parties without your written approval.
On engagement end, we either return or securely delete your private materials, your choice.
07 /Disagreements
Most engagement disagreements come from a misaligned expectation, not bad faith. We try to fix those by getting on a call within one business day of you raising one.
If a disagreement cannot be resolved by conversation, it falls back to the Statement of Work. The SOW is our contract; the Code of Work is the spirit behind it.
Israeli law governs both. The Central District courts have jurisdiction. We have never had a client take us to court and would prefer to keep it that way.
